Happy Birthday to Me.

OK I have to say that in the 14 years of my marriage, I think this was the best birthday. It wasn't even because the gifts were sooo out of this world amazing, although i loved everyone of them, it was really because of all the thought that went in to it. My husband worked hard, planned ahead, and prepared to make sure that everything would be taken care of.
We ate dinner at Olive Garden (Johnny and I agreed it's not our favorite and we would go somewhere else next time), I got a gift from each family member, then we went shopping at Mayfaire, got some ice cream from Coldstones and headed home.
The cutest thing was the effort and excitement that my kids have wrestled with for the last several weeks. Comments made like "Mom, which restaurant is your favorite - McDonald's, Burger King or Olive Garden?" and when I asked them where their money was I was told "We are saving it for something very special." The older kids getting upset with the youngest for letting small thoughts slip. They have been great and there were lots of surprises.
It was a great way to end the 8th anniversary of my 28th birthday! I love my family.
