Once upon a time there was a great 4th of July party where the most amazing Butterfinger ice cream could be found, but this year the ice cream was missing - where could it be?
Tonight we attended the annual 4th of July party at Pastor B and Jen's house. It is always lots of fun. We ate, laughed, talked to people we haven't seen in a while and then watched some great fireworks. The only thing missing was Pastor Ron's butterfinger ice cream, well that and Pastor Ron and Pastor Norma. We did miss them too, but the it just didn't seem like the 4th of July without his ice cream, although Millie at least salvaged some of the evening with her homemade vanilla bean ice cream. Way to go Mills!
On a more serious note, as we painted in Caleb's room today, we asked the kids what the 4th of July meant to them. As we talked, I was very impressed with their answers and knowledge and was reminded again of how blessed we are to live in this country. You may want to check out their blogs...Sticky Times and Meat Head Moments.God has blessed America, my prayer on our Independence Day is that we as a nation will realize we can't truly be what our founding fathers intended this independent nation to be without being dependent on Him first.

I too missed the butterfinger ice cream. I agree with Noah that Pastor Ron should have made it before he left. :)
We not only missed the butterfinger ice cream, but the whole shabang!! (sp.?)
At least you guys thought about us!
